This and the writing remind me of two things. Another, more somber Gibson quote: “Things aren't different. Things are things.” (Neuromancer). And a secondhand quote I've seen attributed to Joseph Campbell: "The psychotic drowns in the same Waters in which the mystic swims with delight."
This is lovely. In the wake of what’s happening here in the US, I’ve been wrestling with how to continue my own journey to the self in this climate. (I had my own late diagnosis of autism almost 2 years ago at 58.) This piece speaks to how important it is to continue both the work of the self and the work in community.
