Thanks Marta Rose. I very much appreciate your words and reflection. Even from the other side of the world there's impact being felt. People power is slow incremental, messy and a special connectimg collective energy. And your wall really sparks with much needed positive cheery vibes. ❤️

I’m making a zine on mutual aid and want to start a book club! My challenge is just getting out there in the community asking my questions and finding our comrades in coastal Oregon ❤️

I love the mural. We need help staying calm. In the short term I hope people can focus on what they need to do to persevere.

I'm in the UK and worry about what this result (and an unequivocal, resounding one) will mean both for US citizens and for the world. It is to me a dark, depressing day. I don't have much more to add but just wanted to reach out in solidarity. You are right that change comes from people connecting to people and there is huge power in that, so I agree grass roots is the way to turn anger to action.

What'd that guy say? He thinks too much. He has a lean & hungry look. (Did I say Stephen Miller?)

Spiral time clearly must be at least 3-dimensional. Remember, we feel like we've been here before, sort of, when we look down on a previous cycle upon which we are ALMOST standing. Another way of saying, history is rhyming. What we call "unprecedented" is only unprecedented to us, on our cycle. Remember "the downward spiral" metaphor? Look to create an upward spiral, to get to a whole new level, a new system, improved, now more powerful than ever before. But wait! (there's more.) Think elliptical spiral that's rotating around the z-axis a little each cycle. We get a little perspective from where we sit, but never enough. We repeat mistakes, but not quite exactly. We repeat mistake-types, which renders the appearance of rhyming, and opens the door to arguing whether it really was "the same" mistake, or just a seem-alike.

Talking about time, various, xxx-esthesias, and 'what's next'.... how does this fit into your space-time perception? Consider that Trump is a cyclic recurrence, like one of the seasons.....but which?(Or would you say, 'that's a false choice, a bogus dichotomy?) We've seen _that_ season throughout history. "The First Time" -- what was THAT like? Can you imagine the space-time warp, the need for spice, the need to get out of this place...?

Just to drop in another thought - it’s funny to me that nobody seems to be looking at the problem with being able to “win” an election with slightly more than half of a vote that represents significantly less than half the population in a country. How is any result legitimate in that context? So I think we are on the same idea of focusing on community that can offset dependence on a hostile ruling class. I think for me it’s a case of not expecting change from electoral politics. I mostly resent having to give it any emotional energy because it feels like everyone loses most of the time.
